About Signsmith

Collectively Signsmith has over 30 years experience from the humble beginnings of sign writing to being a leader in modern signage trends, utlising state of the art technologies in all fields of signage and shopfitting. Signsmith is the fusion of two companies: Signpower formed in 1985 and Signsmith formed in 2007. All projects are conducted in-house which ensures we have ultimate control and responsibility, thus guaranteeing the highest quality products.

ASAP Rope Access Technologies was established in 2006 and is one of the leading rope access companies in South Africa. We work with extreme accuracy and achieve what is often thought as impossible by our clients. We provide fast quality workmanship without compromising safety, adhering to all industry laws and regulations as stipulated by IWF, RAAFA, the SABS and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Over the last 15 years, rope access for industrial purposes has been undergoing rapid development and change. Equipment has improved and training has become more professional and relevant to industry requirements.

The combined competencies of Signsmith and ASAP allow us to go beyond convention and into the realm of truly driving unique solutions for our clients incorporating signage, rope access and working at height expertise, operating from a creative platform that only drives further innovative synergies in signage, superstructures, shopfitting, project management and industrial maintenance and construction.

Projects

Two of our most notable trendsetting projects are the construction and installation of the two soccer ball superstructures for Telkom, on the Hillbrow Tower (Johannesburg) and the Lukasrand Tower (Pretoria), each weighing approximately 50 tonnes, measuring 24 meters in diameter and 8 storeys in height. These structures are larger than any of their kind in not only the country but the world. These spectacular landmarks have become instantly recognisable on the city skylines and played a significant role in branding our country and building excitement and public support for the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Both projects were completed with a 100% safety record.
